4 goals and 1 assist this season. 2 goals in defeats with the assist in September. He has done literally nothing since New Years Day.

I can't see how it's that much of a help in all honesty.

.....and all of which should be irrelevant.

Whatever the club has or hasn't done should not be based on anything to do with his ability / contribution to the team.
 

One thing that I think has failed to have been mentioned is the thoughts of his team mates on this and the opposition players on the field if he plays. There is obviously evidence and substance otherwise he wouldn't have been charged.
Him appearing on the field will result in torrents of abuse from opposition fans, Ill feeling of being on the same pitch from opposition players and possibly his own team mates

It's an awful decision from the club not to take him out of the spotlight while this is ongoing
 
I hope Advocaat is smart enough and place AJ on the bench.
The opposition players will try to get under his skin at every oppertunity and that might result in a red card for us.

Are u stupid, why wud they mention what other players then think!!! F hes found guilty then yes sack him, if not then he will continue playin

I find it strange that you cannot see the differences between suspending a teacher and a footballer in such a situation.

I can see the difference but don't accept this innocent until proven guilty is OK in some cases and not in others. Those I mentioned who were cleared were named instantly in the press and even many years later still have the "no smoke without fire" stigma.
Teachers are certainly in a position of responsibility and in instances like this need to be suspended. But I can remember a time when footballers were also expected to be responsible citizens. Should you not also suspend someone who could be considered a role model for youngsters??

Innocent till proven guilty, by ur rules we should just sack anyone who gets accused of anything. If he gets found guilty then he will be in jail and sacked and rightly so, until then he shud be allowed to continue his job

Bollocks, he should be suspended pending the outcome. Ffs if guilty the outcome would be him classed no differently than a paedophile and on the register. Says it all really.

I think the lad is a confidence player who needs everything to click into place for him to play well.

The moment this trouble came to light we might have well just have asked him to take the rest of the season off.

I'd give watmore a go on the wing and use Buckley as well at some stage if he's fully fit.

What our team lacks is hunger and these two players both have plenty to prove.

He hasn't done it anywhere near enough this season to suggest it will happen. He's as culpable as any of the rest of the useless pricks. Disappeared in most games.
