When I said "they" I ment club officials. Any sponsor can't really comment at this stage as in the eye of the law he is innocent.

It means that they have acquired enough information to bring about a prosecution case, but it doesn't mean he's guilty. Nobody really knows whether he's innocent or guilty. So nothing has changed.

Maybe not because there's 6 games left but we did allow Bramble to play and we weren't in danger, also other clubs have allowed their players to play. Most notably Lee Hughes played right up to conviction, Remy played until he was found innocent.

I can't see why the clubs stance should have changed just because it's went to trial. Unless they think he's guilty obviously.

they cant comment but ive no doubt they have let the club know their feelings.

I have my doubts about her on footballing matters, but the Chief Executive is a lawyer by trade. The club will be dealing with this in the right manner.

They will but his brief will not have been discussing specifics with the club about the file that's been passed to the CPS...............

It won't at all, the way it's been reported most fans didn't know he hadn't been charged already if they even knew the difference between arrested and charged in the first place.
 
Here we go again with another load of bedwetters, moaning on and on.
He is innocent until proved guilty and if he is fit to play and wants to then good on him and the club and fans should stick by him.
If he is guilty the law courts will pass sentence not us and justice will be done.
As others have posted I think cases like this should not be made public till after the court case is heard.
I hope he is innocent but if guilty then it's time to get rid, if he is innocent does anyone think
the victim will face prosecution.
 
On the upside, if we are relegated and the trial doesn't happen until next year we won't have to worry about someone buying him...

Aye anar that was a nailed on conviction aswell. Point is is that we're not the first club and we won't be the last club. We could be the exception to that but then what does that say? That Sunderland AFC have more morals than other clubs (even though they allowed Bramble to play) or that they think he's guilty.

the fact the alleged victim and her family are sunderland fans makes this decision even harder to stomach, massive kick in the teeth.

No it doesn't. If he is found guilty it changes everything, at the moment he is at the accused stage
