The plane fly past is back on...

Not read the whole thread, but can I go on record as saying in my opinion this is a terrible idea that makes Sunderland fans look small time and pathetic. Celebrate the 5 wins by all means but whatever you do, don't give them future ammunition by being seen to organise an incredibly cheap and tacky publicity stunt like this.

Stop this now and donate ALL the money raised so far to the charity and I will tip in £10. Go ahead with it and you bring shame on the good name of SAFC. We are better that this surely?

Its a hideous idea that brings us down to their level.

Cheer up

It was their idea to do a fly past, with Ashley Out written on the banner. For a laugh we decided to gazump their idea but then their plan folded. Probably due to spelling mistakes, gravy stains and spending the small amount of money raised on custaaad creeems.

Don't think the media will put a positive spin on this either. They will crucify us and it will become our equivalent of the 'boycoutt' and the 'Awab Man', you have been warned.

On top of the above reasons, what if we lose to Palace and other esults go against us this week and next. We could be in the bottom three by the time the plane takes off.

Seriously lads, I don't know if you have yet to sober up from Sunday, but this is NOT a good idea and potentially does the good name of Sunderland AFC a lot of damage.

I don't care mate. Leave the stupid protests and school ground quarrels to them, its what they do best. We should just hold the upper ground and move on to the next game.

You've said mate but we don't agree.

It's just a bit of a laugh, nobody other than the Mags will care and if they do it will be for all of thirty seconds, good or bad.

Nobody is getting hurt, it's just a bit of fun.

Likewise - please stop. If they did that I would have complete contempt and regard them as obsessed and small minded. In fact I would laugh at them.

Please show a little class and dignity, and hold the higher ground.

We've had to put up with those idiots for years. Don't start acting like them after a bit of success. We have always been a lot cooler and recognised as such by other fans.

Here's another bitter mag

For what its worth, my mood will not be affected either way, its just that I think this is an ill conceived idea that makes SAFC and more importantly to me, it's fans, look very very small time and will do damage to our reputation going forward.

You will be damaging the good reputation of SAFC fans and the evidence will be on the net for years to come.

If you do this, you definitely don't do it in my name and I can already see the future conversations with other fans as to why it happened I would far rather we just celebrated the five wins and leave it at that.

I'm starting to sway ;)

Seriously, we've pinched their idea for a laugh. That's it. Without their deluded protests on the back of another humping by our good selves this would have never happened.

Well said. Nice to see not everyone is still pissed after Sunday and has lost their sense of reality.

I think you seriously underestimate other football fans. They WILL notice and they WILL think its cheap and pathetic and as a result our fans will become err like the mags in their view.

Take the higher ground, be the bigger man and leave it be.
