Considering Altidore couldn't score or run I think it's a huge improvement. I'd of paid £100k week if it meant Altidore left.

Is he more likely to score in the Premier League than Altidore, that is all you need to ask yourself. We stay up this season he's earned his corn & so have the club financially.
