Defoe

32 year-old and massive wages.

Don't believe it for second, but if for some reason it actually isn't bullshit he'd be a dreadful signing.
Fair enough if that's your opinion

My opinion is that if you were being serious, then you're thick as fuck. Defoe is light years ahead of Altidore (and that's coming from someone who rarely slates Jozy)

Fuck me, our recruitment policy is shocking, short sighted and desperate. There's a reason why Spurs let him go to play football in a tin pot league
And yet I read we had the lifeboats in the water by teatime on Saturday, the band was playing and Leonardo was being waved off by some bint with H Samuel's finest round her neck

IF he helps keep us up I'll shake his hand and buy him a creme egg

 Well put and very true. How quickly perspectives change in football.

No argument we need a lift....and to be honest we're always going to have to overpay for someone on the way down in their career.

£14m over 3.5 years is a hell of a lot of money but there again we were happy to throw that at FB before wages so we can't complain. If he keeps us up he'll have paid for himself this season.

Very interesting to see how we utilise him. If we play 4-5-1 where does he fit in - yes of course up front but how do we get the best out of him.

Good signing - hopefully a great one.

And hopefully it results in one or two wanting to come to us.
