Deluded mags part 69876

Sissoko's shot was hitting the crossbar. Didn't even need to be saved by Pants. However if he hadn't then we wouldn't have broke from the corner.
Sissoko attempting to smash it in from distance, if anything, helped us win.
That's what I thought as well. All the commentators were saying it was going in but to me it looked like it was going to smash off the bar.

Now it's a couple of days on from our magnificent 1-0 four in a row victory i just can't believe the shite the mags are coming out with, up to now, 'we were the better team' 'we created the better chances' 'we had all the possession', it was on the telly ffs, granted Pants made two class saves for us but other than that we were comfortable i thought, i've heard some shite from them over the years but this is shite of the highest order.
We battered them. So tell them to piss off

If you match of the day two recorded and watch it again it's definitely going for the bar. Shows a close up and the commentator days 'and if that went it, and it WAS going in'

I think they often do match of the day commentary again after the game don't they? That's why the commentators on it always seem to say the right things like which player is looking for a goal, or has injury worries or is close to a ban. Then when they score, get knacked or get themselves sent off they look like they know their stuff.

That's where you are clearly wrong, we never go into a derby match expecting to win.
this is correct and the difference between safc and nufc since 1992. their entitlement grew to ridiculous levels and they still think they are entitled to be talked about, when champions league and cup predictions are made.

pre 1992 it was not like this, which makes safc winning constantly all the sweeter. that championship season should have helped them to come down to earth but it didnt. they have won games this season by basically defending deep and hitting teams on the break with pace. that tactic will not work against safc as bar soton and man city we are the masters of that type of tactic.

As fans we couldn't be further apart when it comes to the reality of things, your post is spot on and their attitude of expecting to beat us is embarrassing for them.

Before Sunday we had won the last three derbies but still I didn't hear any of my fellow supporters claiming that we were expecting a win, I was hopeful but certainly not expectant. On the other hand they seemed confident a win would come their way, they are the gift that constantly keeps giving.

TBF the Mags I've spoken to have all been fairly reasoned in their summaries, does help that I mix with educated folk.

See just can't except the present can yous !that's why your hated n laughed at by all ,you all live in the past and mostly the very distant past ,horrible lot from top of club to the dregs of fans ! Bet yous cant wait for the next Derby at the sol eh ? We don't here any of you saying your going to get even with a win ,I wonder why ?

Reading through this and thinking of the game, it is shocking we only won 0-1. In summary we had:
Wickham header wide early on
Wickham comfortable save for Alnwick
Wickham shot tipped onto the post and out
Fletcher off the bar
The Gomez one
Johnson 5 mins before the goal
Larrson 1 minute after the goal

That is seven very good chances, to their three or four.

What is not included above is our one very good goal to their none.

Someone posted a stat the other day, it is something like 1,295 days since Newcastle last beat Sunderland. Two stats to shut them up.
If we had of scored 5 it wouldn't have been unjust ,the scum very lucky to get off with a 0-1 !

Who's Christmas dinner is going to taste better? Ours or theirs?
I would say ours mate. I was saying to my mate before the match that if they beat us it would tarnish my Christmas.

Quite sad I know but I just fuckin hate them with a passion.

A few neutrals I know said beforehand they must be favourites. I pointed out that they usually win by the odd goal having played on the break and may struggle with us playing similarly. As that wise old sage Mr Pardew pointed out they lost by trying to attack us!

When I'm eating me Christmas dinner I won't give a shit about possession statistics and I wont give a shit about shots on or off target statistics.
I'm sure when they are eating their Christmas Dinner the Mags will give a shit about the result, and that is that we won 0-1, making it 0-3, 2-1, 0-3, 0-1. Happy Christmas to Mag fans everywhere.

We should run a book who the next club will be....

I am going for Madrid and in the same sentence Perez will be compared to Ronaldo
Wait till they win another few games you will be proved right !
