Who gives a f**k. The history books will show we won 1 nil.
It won't have in brackets but the deluded inbred twats deserved a draw

PS 4 in a row

Now it's a couple of days on from our magnificent 1-0 four in a row victory i just can't believe the shite the mags are coming out with, up to now, 'we were the better team' 'we created the better chances' 'we had all the possession', it was on the telly ffs, granted Pants made two class saves for us but other than that we were comfortable i thought, i've heard some shite from them over the years but this is shite of the highest order.
At the end of the day though, they lost 0-1.

Sissoko's shot was hitting the crossbar. Didn't even need to be saved by Pants. However if he hadn't then we wouldn't have broke from the corner.
Sissoko attempting to smash it in from distance, if anything, helped us win.

Have looked at the replay a canny few times and it looks like the ball would have shaved the top of the bar.

It certainly wasn't going in like Match of the Day 2 would have you believe.

On balance we had far more better chances than them. Wickham and Gomez missed absolute sitters.

just point them to this article

A bit from The Guardian,

Well done , the result well deserved by virtue of scoring more goals than their opponents - the only criterion for judging. As it happens, they also created the better chances, even if Newcastle applied more nondescript pressure, and the winner was crafted and converted with superb composure and precision.

Stats say otherwise;

I've said it before, one of their pass backs straight at pantillimon is counted as a shot on target, Fletchers shot off the bar isn't.

The only stats that matter are goals for and against.

A team could have 99% possession and 100 shots at goal against a team that has 1% possession and 1 shot at goal and still get best 1-0.

I like how they're trying to find the moral highground.

"Whey yaz wah chantin Steevan Taylah wuh wish ya wah dead like yerv lerst erl the raspect yaz gained frum yaz raisin arl that money, yaz are arl scum like bazdads"

Aye, casue them singing about Bramble being a rapist and Jimmy Saville being Cattermole's Dad, oh and singing about Raoul Moat never ever happened.

You've pretty much described the home game against Fulham at the start of last season (or was it the season before? seems an eternity ago)

I watched the match again today with my brother who has come to visit and hadn't seen it.

Watching without the blood up confirms my initial impression. That there was only once when I thought "shit they are bound to score here", and that was when the young lad Armstrong shot instead of passing to Sissoko who I'd noticed had ran in behind our lot. They may have scored at other times, but the close range efforts were crowded out and were nowhere near being sitters because of it. The closest they did come to scoring were the shots from Perez and Sissoko where Pants did his job superbly.

Conversely there were four times when I was on my feet and certain we would score before we actually did; Whickam's first header, Fletch's volley, Jordi's horror miss and Johnno's miss after he dribbled past Coco. These all had goal written all over them, although in Fletch's case he did nowt wrong.

We nearly ran out of it, but it was only a matter of time.

I thought we edged it in terms of chances. - by about 9 to 7. People seem to have forgotten that Sissokho, Perez and Armstrong all had good chances from well inside the box and each of them shot tamely straight at Pants. Then there were the 2 saves and a curling shot from Perez and the cross that went behind Sissokho.

What you seem to have forgotten is we had two 'sitters' (Gomez and Wickham header, which were basically open goals) and the mags had none. (Sissoko did well to even get his shot off as defenders flew in, Perez's effort was decent, fair enough, and Armstrongs was on a tight angle, where id have been fuming if our keeper had been beatenfrom there. The two saves from distance I wouldnt class as 'chances'. Our chances were mainly guilt edge clear chances, most of the mags openings werent.

The possession was only 51% - 49% to them, something like that, once the game settled down i thought first half we were comfortable, into the second half they got on top a bit but ffs sake they were at home 52,000 fans they should be having a go.

Correct. They created pressure rather than goal scoring chances. Big difference. We were away from home, in a derby, and clincially opened them up and made 3 or 4 chances where it was harder to miss.

Have looked at the replay a canny few times and it looks like the ball would have shaved the top of the bar.

It certainly wasn't going in like Match of the Day 2 would have you believe.

It definitely wasnt going in.

What else would you expect, they are deluded?

Yep. And think about it Gomez chance, which wasnt on target, was a much better opportunity to score than some half arsed back pass shot.

I dont want them to repsect us. I want them to hate us. Makes beating them even better for us, and even worse for them.

I was looking at the stats all the way through the game we had the majority of the passion about 60% and the greater number of passes completed until we made the substitutions and went for it. After we made the subs we conceded some possession made more long passes and in the 90th minute of the game had the best chance and scored.

Didnt hear the mags saying much when they drew at our place 1-1, with their goal, and only real effort on goal, being a hopefull cross.

Just explain our record in the last 3 derbies at their hitch pitch shit tip dump.

Played 3, Won 3, Scored 7, Conceded 0 = 9 points.

Gravy stained twats are clutching at straws, and I for one f***ing love it !!!!

I've even had "we give you 3 points to keep you in the premier league"

To which I replied "why, so we can hump you every season and show you up repeatedly live on national tv"

He just walked away
