Biggest comeback since Lazarus. Am I safe in the assumption the Fa told them to go and take a flying F**k then?.;)

Exactly this, batter the lad. One thing we can't allow is to give him time to come into the game. If he pulls off a few decent saves and we dont batter him to make him nervous, he'll grow into it and the mags will get behind him.

Guarantee we won't have a shot in the first 20m in :(

That's why I made the point earlier we need to be kept on our toes and not get over confident with this situation.

Why is everyone going overboard, he's one player, yes granted a specialist position but every dog has it's day.
Let's hope all this hype at how shit he is, does not inspire him to have the game of his life.

He was also all over the place for the goal Chelsea scored and didn't play the full match

Aye but Chelsea in 1 half will create more than we will in in 90 mins, I thought he did ok against them.

Our 1st corner should be fun with Taylor puffing his chest out trying to defend him!

I think most people are just amazed at the stunt pardew has tried to pull (assuming he wasn't really injured, which it certainly seems that way) which won't have done the lads confidence any good at all and shows pardew up as desperate. I doubt much would have been said about on here today if it wasn't for a this 'emergency keeper' carry on. None of this guarantees us a win of course, a fact of which I'm we aware, but it does seem to show Pardew as bricking it, which I hope transfers to their players.

I hope our players are in his ear from meeting in the tunnel

Lets be right horrible nasty bastards and crush the kids confidence and spirit
Pretty much what I have been saying today. Got to very on the ball with the lad and use some experience. Make sure Fletcher for example is at him in the tunnel. Take that onto the pitch and don't let up both verbally and physically.

This. I think that has happened the last few times as maybe he treats this game differently and wants to prove himself to the fans. This can backfire and come off as desperation, hopefully anyway.
