Biggest comeback since Lazarus. Am I safe in the assumption the Fa told them to go and take a flying F**k then?.

Exactly this, batter the lad. One thing we can't allow is to give him time to come into the game. If he pulls off a few decent saves and we dont batter him to make him nervous, he'll grow into it and the mags will get behind him.
Guarantee we won't have a shot in the first 20m in
That's why I made the point earlier we need to be kept on our toes and not get over confident with this situation.
The team who are the most confident/cocky are the ones that usually lose.
Yep, the last time I felt confident before a derby was the 5-1.
They beat Chelsea in their last home game with Alnwick in goal, they are not a bad side.
He was also all over the place for the goal Chelsea scored and didn't play the full match
I will never again be confident for a derby for this reason alone.Yep, the last time I felt confident before a derby was the 5-1.

Exactly. People are talking utter shit in this thread. They beat Chelsea in their last home game with Alnwick in goal, they are not a bad side.
That was the FA, no chance! Send out the 'fit' press release.
We need a song to boost his confidence.
TidiedBen Alnwick, Ben Alnwick, Ben Almwick ya brother 's a clumsy cûnt

Same here. We have done well recently, but still been far too many shite performances and watched us get turned over, far too often in my lifetime. The 5-1 made me feel sick for days and I was confident going into that. Won't make that same mistake again and would still take a draw against them fuckers everytime.I'd take a point now.
I think most people are just amazed at the stunt pardew has tried to pull (assuming he wasn't really injured, which it certainly seems that way) which won't have done the lads confidence any good at all and shows pardew up as desperate. I doubt much would have been said about on here today if it wasn't for a this 'emergency keeper' carry on. None of this guarantees us a win of course, a fact of which I'm we aware, but it does seem to show Pardew as bricking it, which I hope transfers to their players. Why is everyone going overboard, he's one player, yes granted a specialist position but every dog has it's day.
Let's hope all this hype at how shit he is, does not inspire him to have the game of his life.
Pretty much what I have been saying today. Got to very on the ball with the lad and use some experience. Make sure Fletcher for example is at him in the tunnel. Take that onto the pitch and don't let up both verbally and physically.I hope our players are in his ear from meeting in the tunnel
Lets be right horrible nasty bastards and crush the kids confidence and spirit
