You're reading what you want to read based on your agenda. At no point did he say he wasn't responsible or blame anyone else. He said it was one of those days where nothing went right and now they have to learn from it and fix it.

Nowt wrong with it unless you're desperately looking for an excuse to stick the knife in. f***ing sick of this turncoat attitude from our supporters on here, they have absolutely no patience and are a complete embarrassment.
hardly a turncoat ............... never liked him

Can't understand posters being lambasted for being critical. It's not knee jerking. After a defeat like that it's legitimate to discuss all options.

As you say, the ones who stayed at home to post on here. The ones who were at the match seemed to accept it in a philosophical way.

I can accept being hammered 8-0 by a decent team (Im old enough to remember Watford in 1983) but I cant accept the coach absolving himself of any responsibility. Say what you like about Pardew - who I think is a complete Twat of the highest order - but he has taken responsibility for the shitty performances of his team.

I'm old enough to remember West Ham in 1970...G Hurst 6....

You are dead right, he always bails out when the shit hits the fan.

I was at the pub man

Whatever Gus said or didn't it was his players and not him to blame today imo, kamikaze goalie and defence assisting in at least five of the eight goals conceded today, that said publicly he should accept some responsibility, Di Canio got hammered for no worse....
