Who's going to invade them though?

Like everything else in this independence debate, they will be relying on their neighbours across the border to look after their interests

Well, the UK has a bit of history for invading oil rich countries......................

Dave's "in it together" will have been well and truly shown for what it is, broke our 300-year union up

I seem to recall it was the Labour Party who were in power to give the independence vote the go ahead.

The same Labour Party that dropped us all in it.
Credit to Dave for trying to drag us back out the mire, but I have a feeling he'll get little gratitude and we'll all soon be back in it up to our necks again.

They are both shite, I back independence for the chance they might establish something new. I also back independence for the same reason I watch destruction derby and car racing, to see crashes.

pointless invading scotland then.

Salmon's plan is to have one of the current mobile brigades, which would be made up of the following (or similar):

"This is based on the MoD's plans to base an armoured brigade in Scotland – thought to be the 7th Armoured Brigade famously known as "The Desert Rats" - before it then moves the headquarters of 1st Armoured Division from Germany by 2020. It incorporates the Highlanders battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, the Royal Scottish Dragoon Guards tank regiment, the Mercian armoured regiment, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers light infantry, signallers and a reconnaissance regiment."

[QUOTEwonderinghack, post: 18639160, member: 24422"]I bet Putins already licking his lips thinking of the possibilities.

Easy touch, Prime ports, Prime location[/QUOTE]
I was wondering if the US would be thinking of securing their airpower by expanding airbase on their ancestral homeland. Edinbro also a canny prize - their Disney style theme park of awesome history.

I have a mate in the RN who was telling me last week that in the event of Scotland voting for independence the MoD already have plans in place to move the nukes to Pembrokeshire. So hopefully the sweaties will vote yes and we'll get rid of them and poison the sheep shaggers at the same time. Its a win win situation for England.
