Great news for Ben, nee Sam Robson so expect a new opener for next season

The full list of centrally contracted players is:

(Worcestershire)

(Lancashire)

(Yorkshire)

(Warwickshire)

(Nottinghamshire)

(Lancashire)

(Essex)

(Middlesex)

(Sussex)

(Yorkshire)

(Durham)

(Warwickshire)

A further five players have been awarded increment contracts:

(Essex), (Nottinghamshire), (Middlesex), (Yorkshire), (Kent).

Agreed and hopefully will free up some funds to bring in a batsman to replace him as I think we will miss his runs more than his wickets. I wonder if that Taylor at Notts fancies a move further North.
Seems unlikely dunnit :)

Be prepared to be disappointed. The club still wont have a pot to piss in.

Good lad stokes

Can't believe Chris Jordan has got a contract mind, luckiest cricketer in England

Shahzad has been out buying a porsche while his mates struggle against relegation
Must have got a central contract

Oh, hang on

No no, we'll see him again, often.

The England bowling coach will take a look at his action and try to improve it, he'll lose all his rhythm and he'll be sent back to Durham because he's lost form. Durham will then set him right and and off he'll go to England again ....

Been poor with the bat in the championship but cracking with the ball this season mind.

And taylor will be the club captain next season iirc so I doubt he'll be moving anywhere

Ben has had a funny season to say the least, what with the solidity of those West Indian doors!

He has hardly batted for us this season but he is hitting a bit of form now and his class is there for anyone with eyes to see. His bowling is a god send to England really, especially when as must happen, he bats at 6 for England.

He deserves it. Durham will lose out of course as we will see little of him but that is a Counties lot. Good luck to him. I just hope that happy bloody band of bowling coaches don't get their claws into him and have him bowling left arm medium to reduce the impact on his back by 2.3%.
