Tbf in the first innings our bowling was simply outstanding! By the time the Indians were batting for the 2nd time they knew the game was gone.
I reckon they might have got at best an hours play in today and the forecast was for no play today or tomorrow. Really they only had to see out 1 session last night and none of them had the fight for it apart from Ashwin but it was too late by the time he was in.

was stupidity the way they batted last night could have saved the game if they applied themselves.

That's all guess work but I get what ya saying. Still, once Ali got given the 4th wicket (wrongly) we were on an unstoppable roll.

He's "funky"

Not so long ago he was very boring and defensive, particularly in India.

I liked Cook's comments on the highlight show "Their gameplan was clearly to attack Moeen Ali, but he's far too good a bowler for that".

Dhon(k)i clearly learned nowt from Southampton.

Cook was being cricised earlier in the summer for not having enough faith in Moeen. How things change.

Apparently he has increased his pace from c.50mph at TB to 55mph+ at OT. Makes a huge difference with fingerspin - Ajmal bangs them in at 57-58mph, Underwood used to bowl 60mph plus. For one thing he is no longer getting carted all owa and building up pressure, for another he is actually beating players with the spin rather than depending on errors to take wickets.

Still think they imploded rather than England rolled them, particularly Jadeja. He had a total brain fart.

As it happens there'd have been quite a lot of play today
