I'm off to the Test match. Get the jugs of Pimms at the ready. 8-)

Been raining for an hour or so but the cloud is starting to burn off now, should get away on time. Biblical levels of rain a possibility over the weekend though.

Still, there's a very comfy bar in the pavilion.....

Just stopped raining, going to be a late start.

Hopefully, he isnt good enough. However, I read they have him very much in mind longer term so thought they might persisit with him.

Said on the other thread, he's very much a work in progress. He's been working with the GB Olympic doctors who reckon his slow run up and explosive action will see his back go within two years, they're trying to get him smoother into the wicket.

I suppose Jordan doesn't need being in and out of team but when he is given opportunity he needs to take it.The thing is about Woakes he looks to have improved from his debut last season on his Third test showing albeit he didn't take any wickets he looked comfortable.

Useless Manc kernts. Bright sunshine here.

Woakes keeps bowling like that they will come

Awful team selection, Old Trafford traditionally quick and bouncy, so leave out Finn for the wicketless Jordan and Woakes in the last test, typical England type selection, not prepared to be brave.

Don't think Woakes is as bad as people make out on here but Chris Jordan playing ahead of talented Cricketers like Finn and Stokes winds me up.

I reckon Saker's had a lot to do with that decision.

I actually quite like Woakes but if anyone had to fall by the wayside for Finn or Stokes today it was him, Jordan should at least get some pace and bounce from this pitch.

Gambhir in? Jadeja still in?

India concede the series.

As I said...
