No...injury is a long standing issue which flared up again. I watched about 8 overs while I was there and the batting conditions are challenging as you would expect. Wicketkeeper finding it interesting keeping to Onions!

You are right about the batting. Modelling themselves too much on 20/20 mentality.

Shame the game didnt get started at two o clock when it was sunny and dry and both teams wanted to play. Both sides could have picked up a few bonus points. Puzzled me that the umpires wouldn't allow play to start at 2. The wicket was no worse than many early season wickets played on and the fact that we were going at 5 an over when play got under way (despite it not drying much since 2) suggested that it was playable.

No complaints when we came off mind :lol: sky looked like a scene from Independence Day for half an hour before it opened up.

Think the race is just about over for us now. Relying on other results and weather intervention.

League will now be decided by the games vs Burnhope. Who at full strength are the best team we have played this season. We have them at home in a few weeks. Plus we have to play Hunwick at home too who are still in with a shout. Guessing Littletown still have to play both of these teams too?

Would have fancied us to put on over 215 yesterday if we had played a full game.

We have beaten Hunwick twice and still have Burnhope to play at home

The lad who took the wickets plays for Allendale?? The clubs mainly come from the A69 corridor but also have the likes of Benwell hill second Saturday team playing all there results are in the Sunday Sun

The bairn played in a trial match last week at whickham cc for the NTSCL u13 side and they played lads from tynedale etc. first time id seen lads from that neck of the woods. I was impressed by them. Some good players.
