Cricket clubs no longer in existance

Following on from the Mid Durham Senior League thread a few weeks back, I thought I would just very quickly put a list together of other cricket clubs that have gone out of existance....all of whom played at a higher level than the MDSL.
I am sure there will be more to add to the list, and I am also sure there will be people on here who either played for them or indeed who can remember them.

North Durham CC - Durham Senior League

South Moor CC - Tyneside Senior League

Sunderland Hospitals CC - North East Durham Cricket League

Newalls CC
Pyrex CC
Vaux Welfare CC
Washington Glebe CC
South Hylton CC

The 5 above were all members of the Durham Coast League at one time or another, and the first 3 were obviously factory / works teams.

Anyone got any memories to share or more teams to add ?

Chilton Moor
Eppleton CW
Rayrolls
AEI Birtley.

Just a few off the top of my head.

Coles Cranes is another one.

I remember going to Vaux and South Hylton when my dad played in the coast league in the 80's. Vaux ground is now a housing estate opposite tunstall hills iirc??

I played for hospitals in their last season in the NEDCL. Canny bunch of lads and always liked playing at their ground. My school team(farringdon) played their quite a bit in the mid 90's.

Eppleton CW

The overriding memory i have of that place is that my da used to put a key mark on the outside edge of the clubhouse every year to measure my height when i was a bairn!!

Seemed to remember playing Wheatley Hill in the Coast League in the 60's.
An A-Z of Durham Cricket Clubs, great little book giving directions to every club in County Durham gives in the appendix a list of 42 clubs now defunct but many must have been so for ages as i don't ever remember them.

There's a disused cricket pitch in Wardley (Gateshead) so assume that there was once a Wardley CC?
Does nobody play there anymore? Right next to my Mam and Dad's but I haven't been to watch a game there since I was a kid (15 years ago now). I loved the way the boundary overlapped the football pitch. Always remember messing about on the heavy roller but I can't remember it ever having sidescreens, no surprise that nobody plays there any more.

GEMS (Gateshead Ethnic Minorities) play there.
