Borini

I cannot believe we are getting so excited about Borini like
He'll be a canny signing for us, but let's be honest, he's really nothing special. I'll be happy to have him here but this doesn't have the excitement that signing Bent or Gyan for example had. Borini is a good player but he's more of a workhorse than a player who really excites. It's probably the best we can do though.

That's providing it actually happens like.

Perhaps, just perhaps we have a Manager that wants to build….whisper it…..a team. Perhaps, just perhaps he sees Borini as a very important component of that team.

Really? Bloody hell, I hadn't thought of that. I said I'd be happy with the signing. I just don't have as high an opinion of him as others.

I think he'll build off of last season; he was always underachieving a little bit, by not even getting on the pitch much with Liverpool. In a second straight season being a featured player, I think he'll increase his confidence and subsequently, his goal total. If he sticks with Liverpool, his career will take another dip. Even without Suarez, he'll fail to see the lion's share of minutes. There's a reason Liverpool are looking at Bony, they just don't rate Fabio as a go-to guy.

Probably the only one not to have posted on this thread , till now , imho -

I still think he'll agree terms and sign within 48 hours .

Would of been more possible if they hadn't signed one of the best players from the World Cup and loaned him straight back to his last club to save money. Mebbes shouldn't of spunked so much money on Southampton cast offs the silly barstards.

He is much better than that assessment. We would be signing a proven player on an upward curve.

Fabio has actually had a cheeky wee bet that this thread will reach 500, so he's deliberately spinning things out. He actually signed in secret a week ago...

Fabio is a right little drama queen, hes loving this sitting at home tugging his way through a box of kleenex reading this thread!
