Then that'll just make me and the majority of the board believe Borini wants to stay at Liverpool and not commit to us. As 'trying' sounds negative - sounds as if he's saying he's attempting to do it but doesn't have a lot of expectation Borini will accept
All I want is Poyet to say exactly where we are, I know that shows us being desperate for it, but I'm at the stage where it's really annoying me :lol:

It's all about the negotiations man, you can't just let everyone know exactly what you think about it. It's why his agent came out and said he wanted to stay at Liverpool, nine days ago, but he hasn't actually turned us down yet. All about trying to get the best possible deal. If we don't offer him the wages he wants, he won't come. And it'll be as simple as that.

All I'm saying is that the chances are low, whilst he may not be rejecting us outright, he has rumoured to have turned us down twice, it's been a week and a half of constant 'is he going to America?' 'Has his plane landed in Newcastle yet?' and other utterly seb questions.
All I'm saying is, the longer it drags on, the less confident I am of getting him; just my opinion

Yep, can understand that. But, if you didn't read this place every day, and hear every little shite rumour that may or may not be true, we'd all be a lot more relaxed about it. We might sign him, we might not. The only official thing we've heard from either side is that a bid has been accepted. So it's still a possibility, basically.
 
Can't help but think this is all down to wages. He might not want to live up here, he might not really want to leave Liverpool, but if we offered him a raise, he'd come. The issue I think we have is that he'll be on quite a bit at Liverpool, I'd imagine, being Rodgers' first signing. Therefore, we may well not be able to increase his wage, hence why this transfer hasn't been concluded as quickly as we'd hoped.
