anar, look what you've made us resort to Fabio - the biggest thread possibly in PF history and you're still dilly dallying fella ?
I still think you're the mutts nuts but give us a f***ing break man, please say yes like the man from Delmonte did :lol:
I'm not Fabio, btw
Sorry for the confusion

Liverpool buying Remy and possibly Shaqiri means Fabio will be bench warmer at Liverpool at best, he will sign for us in the next week or so

For what it's worth here's my view (and I'm probably just going over old ground as I've not read the other 4900 or so posts).
Borini is a good player and I'd be very happy if we were to sign him.
However, in reality all that has happened (that I know of) is that Liverpool have agreed a price with us at which they are willing to sell, which means they want rid if possible. However, how likely is it that the player actually wants to join us? Last season in seemingly every interview he gave he expressed the desire to not be here this season claiming he was a big game player wanting to play for a top team. My feeling is that he still doesn't want to play for us and is holding out for another team to meet the already highly publicised asking fee. He might still end up here if no one else bites, but I very much doubt we'll be amongst his preferred options.

To an extent I agree about his comments saying he didn't want to join, but to an extent I also disagree. And I disagree because he made those comments very early in the season when he wasn't playing and so before we realised what a decent player he was.
Not saying he will sign but there needs to be context/a time frame around when he made those comments

He made them towards the end of the season too, definitely after the cup final.

The crazy price probably means we'll be his only option come deadline day (if it gets that far).

I'd happily see him back here mind.

In his interview immediately after the cup final (which I cant find at the minute!) he specifically said he was a player who has proved he should be playing for a big club. Inferring that we were not where he wanted to be.

Fair enough, I accept that. Mind I'd still say that even at the beginning of March he hadn't realised what a fab club with fantastic fans we were ;)

In another interview (after the semi win at Old Trafford) he was fawning over our fans with the 'a piece of my heart will stay with this club forever'. I've said it earlier on the thread but Borini has a huge career defining decision to make now - he knows he is not wanted at Liverpool and that must be hard for him to accept but it will piss me off no end when he ends up leaving Liverpool at the end of this window for someone like Stoke and he along with us we will both think what a f***ing waste.

He wont get a better offer than us this transfer window and he needs to realise this pretty soon.

I've said all along one of the things that would disappoint me would be if he was happy to sit and benchwarm at Liverpool which is what he will do if he doesn't move on. I thought he was a player who wanted to play, and he won't at Liverpool. If he stays he won't progress, and that would be a huge waste.

Almost exactly a week since this thread was started and we have gone round and round and round again but are no further forward

He wont, Liverpool want rid and have done for a while. Its where he ends up that's the only issue
