Durham could certainly do with having Stokes back, I wouldn't be sorry to see him left out of the Test side for a game or two.
i think its a cert for jordan to come in. easy option to drop stokes.

i just want the england team to have a go with the bat. watching sky they have shown how england used to go out with the intention of scoring over 300 in a day. the current lads struggle to get to 250 and seem terrified to have a go. this summer the only players showing an intent of going for it are the tail enders. the top six score at 2 an over max.

it happened throughout the sri lanka series. surely moores, saker, farbrace and cook are aware that at least 25% of runs are through that area? they have analysis on everything and the placement of a third man, intead of a fine leg, which is for off line and rubbish bowling, is the correct place for someone to field. the slips often dive half hearted and the ball goes through for four. all this woulkd be cut to one
As a bowler it absolutely breaks your heart when it happens as well. At least if you get flicked to fine leg you only have yourself to blame.

it is so basic, you see the scoring wheel chart and it is nearly always 25%. one man and say ten fours are reduced to ten in total.

t mills has real pace so will be around the squad, to get that coached out of him. i think the next 18 months can be written off.

Stokes might benefit from coming back to Durham but I don't see why some people want Jordan straight back in after taken 0-137 at Headingly. I think he's more of an ODI bowler than a wicket taker.

My team would be

Lyth
Robson
Ballance
Bell (c)
Root
Ali
Buttler
Stokes
Broad
Plunkett
Anderson

If there was a Bowler knocking the door down then I'd get them in but I don't know who that is at the moment.

its not a matter of wanting him, its more like this is the way moores operates. stokes will be the fall guy and from cooks after match interview, the impression giving, is that no one is to be dropped.

So many half decent players being bandied about here who just dont have the talent to be top international cricketers imho.

I myself have no idea what the answer is.

Is Mills the left arm quickie I saw for Essex? Was consistently pushing 95mph in one session.

Cook
Robson
Root (C)
Ballance
Bell
Moeen
Buttler
Plunkett
Broad
Anderson
Mills

Root takes over the captaincy from Cook

And no more Yorkshire players!

most of those lads mentioned, have not been given the chance to show if they can compete. Even tendulkar had to start somewhere

moores type of player, nailed on next captain
