Borini

When he walked the tarmac, turned and headed up the steps on to the plane, he turned his back on this club and the fans who supported him. He'd do well to remember that. As is though we can do without players who clearly have major attitude problems.
Please tell me you are on a wind up.

He is contractually obliged to do whatever Liverpool tell him to do.

The club need to pull out of this asap , never ever good idea to force a player to sign when he doesn't want to come.
Need to look elsewhere FUCK. HIM.

Disagree like. It's his job and he owes it to himself and his family (?) to get the best deal he can. Let's be honest here, wouldn't you do this if you were looking for a job?

You really think Liverpool have accepted an offer for him but told him he can't come and discuss it?
The only possibility is they have asked to keep him until they have signed a couple themselves but even that would be unusual.

Why would it be unusual? It goes on all the time.

I refuse to believe the club have bid this amount of cash for him without finding out before hand if he would be up for the move, It makes no sense at all

There's some right whiney tarts on here going on like jilted teenagers.

You'd think he'd proclaimed an undying love for us and given his word that he was going to be with us forever. Instead he's actually repeatedly made it clear that he wants to remain at Liverpool. No lies, no false promises, no games, no betrayal.

I honestly can't think of another transfer where a substantial fee is agreed and the player then takes part in a meaningless friendly the next day. I can't see any reason to do that.

West Ham and Andy Carroll, he travelled away with Liverpool apparently after fee agreed (not sure if he played like)

Quite amazed at how many people are saying fuck him, move on etc.

Have these people actually negotiated anything in their lives before?

This thing only broke on Friday - talks with an agent could be booked in for the end of this week or later

Bringing in a higher class of player, Borini or whoever else is going to take time

I don't understand the thought process of many on this board saying things like we should move on, or give him ultimatums etc.

The club will know what is happening with Borini, they're not in the dark like the rest of us. If they've been told it's a no then they've already moved on. If they've been given encouragement then they'll be arranging a meeting with his agent.

As for the ultimatums, it's not as if Borini gets an offer texted to him and then just doesn't answer his calls for a few weeks. There will be constant communication but the club and Borini or his representatives, it's a fluid process. Just because the fans have heard nothing by Friday, doesn't mean nothing has happened.

Only thing is, last season he had nothing to lose. Came here and became a cult hero. If we shell out the money to sign him, there is the will he wont he, should he come and miss a penalty, straight away the fans will be on his back.
I think, we move on.
Fletch fit and Connor from start of season will be like two new signings. A good winger and a good midfielder with the money and I think the midfield and forward line will be canny. Just the defence to sort which I am sure is in hand....I HOPE!!!!!!
