Liverpool sign Remy for £8.5m, that's the comparison we should be looking at! And it's also clear that he wanted a shot at playing for Liverpool - that shot clearly is being denied him given the signings that they have made. There's a real danger that he comes to us and lives off his kick backs from the transfer fee and no doubt exorbitant wages, the contract setting him up for life, and doesn't bother putting in a shift for us. Once you realise you won't make a decent player in a top 4 side surely the ambition drops off and you don't look to stretch yourself as a player?
