But a deal is clearly nowhere near completion. But prior to that the reports were that Borini wanted the move. Maybe he has changed his mind......or maybe he doesn't need much convincing at all and is just letting his agent get him the best deal possible.
Thought he was in talks agreeing personal terms thoughHe's with the squad because he's still their player!
Fee agreed late Friday, then both clubs had games yesterday.
Today's Sunday, and go back through history and look for how many deals were completed on a weekend. It won't be a very high percentage!
I'm sure talks with the agent will be scheduled for this week so in the meantime he has to carry on as normal. That's why agents are employed by players.
I'm sure some people think it's like a computer game and you click a few buttons then that's it.
Disappointing but at least it appears we have a decent amount of money to spend.
Don't always believe the papers, Hank.Thought he was in talks agreeing personal terms though
That's what it said in the papers
You're right but other players certainly haven't travelled in similar circumstances. He's with the squad because he's still their player!

Of course it's different we have agreed a fee for him.Gus said there were players yesterday who were playing for us who he's told can leave so other than the fact Liverpool are in America, there's no difference.
The lads? Is that action man, teddy bear and barbie?Nee hangover. I was saying the same thing to the lads last night before I was pissed. We weren't discussing baked goods however.![]()

Would he fly there if there was a chance terms could be agreed on tomorrow? Meaning he will fly all te way back? No chance, going to be another 10 days at least yet now. How many games are Liverpool playin there?
I enjoy a good flan
If the agent meets with the club on Monday it's likely to be a couple of days hashing things out. Conceivable he'd fly back in the middle/end of the week. People do it for business all the time. Boston is about a 5 hour flight I presume? It's not exactly an expedition to Mars he has gone on.
Nor.The lads? Is that action man, teddy bear and barbie?
This is what I said yesterday we must have had some encouragement from him to go ahead with the bid.will be pretty reckless if sunderland didn't know in advance that borini had planned to turn us down, poyet must have some idea whether he wanted to come permanatly
But where is the need if a deal was so imminent? It just doesn't make sense. If the agent meets with the club on Monday it's likely to be a couple of days hashing things out. Conceivable he'd fly back in the middle/end of the week. People do it for business all the time. Boston is about a 5 hour flight I presume? It's not exactly an expedition to Mars he has gone on.
