Denial of access by these thugs says all we need to know about the origin of the rocket. the location of the airoplane over a war zone says all we need to know about the budgeting priorities of Malaysian Airways. May they all hang their heads in shame. And may they all be appropriately judged on their day of judgement.

I doubt whether the SAS or Legion Etranger would find any problem in gaining access to the site. For me that's the next move over there. Fast, before the evidence is destroyed.

Over here this tragedy is simply heartbreaking. Two lads, football fans like us, have died to satisfy some squalid politco-military objective. May they rest in peace. I was pleased to make my contribution on the other thread as many others obviously were. But the pain now being felt by the families is almost unimaginable.

RIP lads.

As a civilian from another country you have no idea that this can happen but experts in aviation and warfare know it can.

Now everyone knows it can
Should have known before
Their is a lot of anti Russian sentiment on here as if these things only happen from 'unstable' countries, but these things have happened previously

The USA shot down an Iran air in 88 by mistake killing 290 and Bush said 'I will never apologise '

Rip john and Liam

That's it, they really are. Then to hear on the news that "it may be difficult for teams to go in and examine the wreckage" because of the militant groups???? WTF? Im sorry, but the UK/Belgian/Dutch/German/US/Malaysian inc other governments should be sending their teams over there to examine the site, work out what has happened and go from there. Some rebel groups are not allowing us to carry out this task? Tell them to do one. Is the world really in such a state that we are afraid to go in and do what is right, because we may upset some world leader of a country that has nothing but hatred for the west?
An immediate military response in an isolation bubble is needed right now, before the evidence is destroyed by these bastards. Military justice would be helpful as well.

Brought a tear to my eye that local lads were murdered in a political conflict that they played no part in.

They just wanted to watch their team. No different to any of us.

RIP.

Very moving tribute will only grow over time seems like dans of other clubs have took to paying respects too

I just can't get me head around 2 lads going on what should have been a trip of a lifetime to go and watch their team play and not even making it there because of something so awful.

Regardless of what team it was you'd think every single football fan could relate to it. And I'm happy to see that it has been handled so well from supporters of both clubs.

I read somewhere that some Newcastle fans had suggested to the club that they put 2 plaques on their seats at SJP so they never miss another him game, what a brilliant and fitting tribute that would be.

This ^^12 months ago some of our lot would have been on a similar journey heading for Hong Kong.
