Saw Mark Butcher give a less than positive review of his bowling on the verdict.

He's got a good county record but there's nothing particularly in his action that makes me think he's an international class spinner. Just looks to have an economical action at best.

surely you can say the same about a batters technique who have average county stats then make the step up

Boycott was grumbling in the Telegraph (I think) this morning about him. Said selectors should be looking at more than just county stats when it comes to selecting a spinner. Said Kerrigan doesn't use his front arm when bowling and just lobs it up. Also said that Moores can't have "worked with many good 'uns" if he thinks Kerrigan deserves to be an England player.
