India Series - DRS

I read today that DRS won't be used in the upcoming series with India because the BCCI don't like it. Surely there should be a decision by the ICC that it's either used or not. Alarming lack of consistency here. Not fair on the Umpires either as they undoubtedly adjust their mental approach to games with the use of DRS.

How can India weild so much power?
 

Shocking that the BCCI have so much sway. We had the same discussion in 2012 when we played over there in fairness.

Maybe the home side should get the pick. I just hope the umpires take note that the Indians don't trust the system and make their decisions with that in mind...... ;)

The BCCI should have no say in the matter IMO. The series is being held in England so the ECB should make the call. Although in an ideal scenario DRS would be compulsory as far as possible.

aye, home organisation should be maknig the call.
 
well it hurt them in the 4-0 and the irony of dhoni's comments re the umpires in the 2-1 over there was great.

it will no doubt happen again this summer and i just pray its in englands favour. eg cook massive edge not given when on 0 and he scores a double ton or dhoni out lbw hitting the cover off
