Houghton 1sts lost to Burnhope. They were 240 all out we were 160ish all out.

We knacked ourselves with over rate and turned to spin which cost us. Good side Burnhope. Well deserved win

Our 2nds won. Not sure of scores at the minute

Strong with bat and ball. We bowled well early doors but were behind the over rate as our seamers have lengthy run ups. We lost 5 overs last week so tried to avoid that scenario by rushing through which was a mistake in hindsight. should have tried to bowl em out quicker.

Theyre looking good though and deserved their win. Think all three sides are still in a good position though. Plenty twists and turns left

They are a decent side,

But get the first 4 out and I think you could get them cheaply, opening bowler was sharp today, and took 5-29,
We were missing our leading wicket taker and leading run scorer, so I'll fancy our chances at our place if at full strength.

Think it'll be tight for rest of the year!

Agree they are decent

We would have chased down their total 9 times out of 10 when we played them blew it after a decent start

Can't wait for the return game

I certainly think their pitch is prepared for their bowling attack mind. Suited our bowlers as well but as I say, the overs / time rule screws us over in a big way. We certainly dont dally about or delay things but are penalised almost weekly for having a four pronged seam attack (who have long run ups and bowl decent pace). Havent quite managed a way to bowl 45 overs properly in the time allowed. Something for us to chew over.

I was down Phili last week for a wander on a Sunday afternoon. Were you the fella with the dogs by any chance?

Houghton beat Coundon. Knocked off 233 in 38 overs. Canny place to bat is Houghton at the minute. Not many sub 200 scores so far.
