Not open for further replies.
81-3, right off the hook.

Partnership is 55.

Jennings replaces Main (4-0-29-0).

98-3 at four an over. Notts now on top.

123-3 at lunch. Change bowlers didn't bowl well at all. From 29-3 we've really let them off the hook.

A 19 year old debutant and a bloke coming back from injury was never really going to be great. Probably brightened up as well which didn't help

45-0 off the last 10 overs.

102-0 in the 20 overs since the opening bowlers were first rested...... That economy just isn't good enough. Wickets are difficult in this format, but to allow them to score so freely is criminal.

I reckon they'll get to 2 points before we do.....

We're proper fucked.......
Current partnership 151 runs, 35.1 overs, RR: 4.29

Before today only Middlesex bowlers Steven Finn (172.1) and Tim Murtagh (197.4) had bowled more overs in this season's County Championship Division One that Chris Rushworth (165.4). Middlesex have played a game more than Durham.

Jeez 160 partnership and counting.

That has always been our undoing in the past, even with our bowling at full strength - one huge partnership in an innings.

Taylor c Breese b Stokes 88. Notts 232-5 :)

Two overs til Tea. Be nice if we can get a 6th.

Bowling bonus overs. With the 11:30 start I believe the earliest we can take Tea is 16:10. May end up getting more than 96 overs in the day......

Robbed of a run out apparently. Richardson thought his direct hit had beaten Wessels.

"Durham's catching has been poor in recent weeks, but 38-year-old Gareth Breese has just pulled off two extremely athletic catches. it's about time he started acting his age." Not bad for a pensioner

Tea - 247-5.

Notts 2-1 Durham.

Not working at all for Main. Kid is going at 6 an over.

Wessels c and b Main 23. Well done young man. 271-6. 2 bonus points.

Broad b Main 0. 281-7. Now he's hit his straps :-)

New ball due in an over, be nice to skittle the tail quickly. Although with Andre Adams set to come in at 11 it's a very talented tail......

Rushworth takes the new cherry.

300-7.

Siddle lbw Stokes 31. 340-8.

"Chris Rushworth is an angry man. Why? Because Neil Mallender disagreed that Chris Read had got an edge on one when on 48."

Sounds like we've had nowt today off the umpires.

350-8.

To bowl a side out on the first day, after they chose to bat upon winning the toss is a decent days graft.

However when they were 29-3 and then 281-7, it's a bit disappointing that they scored 377.

With rain forecast over the next day or so it already looks like it may be difficult for us to win this one, but I guess for now the main aim for the lads will be to get a lead or atleast as close to parity as possible.

They've got a great seam attack but I believe the pitch will be true and if we can bat well there's no reason why we can't get near their score. The bonus points would be handy atleast.

Durham 12-0 (6 overs).

17-0 after 8.1 overs and off for rain.

Back on after a 13 minute delay. No overs were lost.

Durham 18-0 after 10 overs. Stoneman 15, Jennings 3 (from 34 balls).

Jennings punches Siddle for four with an on-drive, up until then, he had faced most of Siddle's spell and not scored a run. First hour negotiated safely, 27-0 after 11.3

Adams comes on to bowl - he ALWAYS gets wickets against us.

Jennings dropped on 12 at short leg by Taylor off Siddle.

34-0 off 14 overs.

Stoneman c Read b Shahzad 23. 39-1. Fuck.

Well the change worked, f***ing shazad of all the people in there attack

Went for 8 in the over too. Jennings with a boundary of Adams. 47-1.

Jennings dropped by Wessels at first slip off Adams. Dolly. Jennings now onto his third life. He MUST make them pay now.

Richardson b Shahzad 4. The pasty chucker has two. 47-2 FFS.

67-2 after 22 overs. Muchall has raced to 20 off 18 balls following consecutive boundaries off Shahzad.

Lunch 78-2. 25 overs. Jennings 24, Muchall 24. Pretty even session, something to build on anyway. Big session coming up next.

Jennings has faced 83 balls, Muchall just 20.

Raining again. No play since Lunch.
