Been out of the loop for a while, whats the crack with him? Thought he was T20 only as I hadn't heard of him til today, but noticed he's playing for the Seconds today so was wondering.

I assume Colly had a say in bringing him in

aye, colly coached him, liked the look of him gave him a trial which i believe he has just converted into a one year deal? could be wrong. can't be fair off mind as had some great knocks for the seconds and cracking debut for the t20 side.

McLeod is currently contracted to cricket Scotland and on loan to Durham I believe, Scotland have first call on him if they want him to play in any of their games.

He's done well so far in the limited over games he's played for the 2s, and had a very good debut in the T20 last Friday. There's a big difference between second team cricket and championship 4 day cricket, I hope he can step up and score runs if he gets the chance.

agreed. he has made runs in every innings so far i believe which you have to counter balance with him only playing 11 first class games. but he seems to be in tremendous nick at the minute so may well be high time to give him a cc debut. maybe contract issues is what is causing it otherwise i'd have thought he should be ahead of muchall in the pecking order. though personally i wouldn't have picked either of them for taunton although in theory it is a great wicket for making runs on so a debut for mcleod may have been ideal [said with the benfit of hindsight obviously]

Very informative Harry, you're right about the change but it would be canny to see him get a go.

Regarding the contract situation, I'm sure Cricket Scotland would be over the moon if he were to get some First Class cricket under his belt. After all, it's probably a better standard than playing games against Hong Kong and Canada.

that lad could be a great find. some classic shots in his T20 knock the other day. reminded me a bit of ross taylor's batting in T20.
