I want it to rain a little. To juice up the wicket and hopefully create a bit of swing/seam movement to assist our bowlers. What we don't want whilst bowling is clear blue skies and baking hot sunshine.

I'm not negative, im a realist. Would you so prefer that at 27-4 I pronounce that we'll declare on 600-5?? I've been watching cricket and Durham long enough to know that it looks like a difficult situation.

I'm not giving up, just being realistic. And what's sure is that even if we lose this match by an innings, I'll still be back next week and the week after to support Durham. I was a member during the Roseberry/Speak years when we finished bottom regularly, so I've seen my share of lows and lowers - as I say, I just like to be realistic.

If we make 400 from here it's a miracle, 300 and we've battled back really well. Anything less and Taunton history suggests it'll he incredibly difficult to get a first innings lead.

wernt you saying in the last game you thought we would lose despite having plenty of wickets left with just over a day to go
 
Seem to remember we had batting collapses like this last season and still won the title.

Mind the bowlers always came to our rescue - something they've struggled to do so far this season.

We had 18 wickets left going into the last day. So I find that hard to believe.

we could be 300/4 having bowled them out for 200 and you would still be negative

When that occasion arises you'll see otherwise. Until then I'll continue to be a realist. It's quite possible that may be the scores here actually, but on the reverse. Mind we've got some work to do to make 200 from here.

Now do you fancy a bit rain??
