Nothing that he said suggested he wasn't coming, it's just that a fortnight ago he was nailed on, with even a slight chance of playing against Sometset. Now this. Leads me to worry. Big week or so coming up in the Kumar stakes it seems.

Ah right, so there's no new news since the last news we got. So, what you're saying is that he might still be coming, or he might not.

Tour starts 6th May (ok only a 1 dayer) and we don't have a game this weekend. Is he really coming?
 
I think the club have tried really hard from the start to get him over but it looks like things at his end haven't moved very fast. The news of him coming was leaked before Sri Lanka won the T20 world cup, and maybe the renewed interest and adulation the team received once they returned home has played a part in his delayed arrival?

It would have been a big boost to have him for the Yorks and Sussex games, but as Brandon says, the longer it drags on, the less chance we have of seeing him at all.

It's a shame it's only two games, but if we could choose any two games we couldn't have picked a better two games then these.
 
Excellent signing. Finally that Will Smith shaped gap in the batting line up has been filled by someone almost as good
