Not even in hindsight for me. Just as I lost all faith on O'Neill after the debacle that was the Norwich game, wanted Bruce gone after we lost to West Brom at home towards the end of 10/11.

That result (against an already relegated West Ham side) and the subsequent 10th placed finished papered over some huge cracks which started to appear. His record here once we sold Bent was absolutely awful and showed how much he carried us whilst he was here, he had already started to take pops at the fans and some of his man-management at that time was bizarre to say the least, particularly with Mignolet.

For the record I like Hull as a place and as a team, my feelings for Bruce are quite neutral, but I wish he'd shut the fuck up about us and concentrate on continuing the excellent work he's done at Hull City
 
Bruce over reliant on loans .
In the space of a year he lost / sold Bent , Gyan , Welbeck , Muntari , Zenden , Malbranque , henderson , Onohua , Mensah and Ferdinand and replaced them with Bentdner , Whickam , Ji , Maclean , Larson , Gardner , Vaughan , Brown & O'Shea . He started the decline and we were almost relegation certanties when he was sacked .

You lot, really? Is your squad that much worse than ours? We will finish 12th/14th and we are in the cup final. The only difference is the manager. Your last season under him was your best for a long time. Ever since you've been a disaster zone. Honestly. Bruce had to sell to buy. The squad was piss thin as dependent on loan signings, coupled with a questionable fitness regime, we were struggling to put a team out. Hendo and Bent were sacrificed to finance depth to the squad.

A spectacularly ignorant post without a clue of the bigger picture. Aye, if you take it in isolation the 10th placed finish looks fantastic, but we were in freefall from the start of February, apparently with 4 games left we were below Birmingham in the table, who went down that year. He had started to lose the plot around that time and his business in the transfer window in the summer of 2011 was nothing short of disastrous and is one of the many reasons why we're currently in the shit we're in.

He did a decent job in his first 18 months, but his last 9 months. Now fuck off you clueless gobshite.

It isn't you versus us. I am not commenting on us, to be honest we have taken a gamble we cannot afford. If we go down we are really finished as we have no value beyond the squad and our level of debt is way beyond the value of our squad. So it isn't you v us cos I don't think we have a great future either. My question is addressed elsewhere, I think you are fundamentally flawed as a club. You slag off all your previous managers and expect a divine right to........ I don't know what. You are a bigger club than we are, of course, but your expectations are ridiculous.

In the beginning he built a good side, but for whatever reason he couldn't keep hold of a lot of them and he replaced them with shite and loan signings. We had a yearly long winless run and the rot was setting in. He had to go.
