I don't know anything about her cricket knowledge mate, just had the commentary on for a few minutes earlier and her voice just grated on me.

I never pass an opportunity to express my opinion that in no way shape or form should Kyle Coetzer have been sacked off by Durham CCC.
He has twice as much talent as Gordon Muchall & imho was even better than Will Smith.
One of a few players bummed out unfairly by the county when they were blatantly good enough, when other less talented cricketers remained on the books - another than springs to mind was Martin Saggers.

Nice lad kyle. Up until very recently he remained a regular visitor to Chester le street, mainly with some of the DCB coaches.

Looking like a draw this one. Although still plenty of time left in the game. I'd say we just hold the advantage at the moment.
Didn't get chance to listen to the commentary yesterday but going off what Tim Wellock was reporting I get the feeling it'll be tough graft getting 20 wickets. Quite surprised that Breese and Borthwick weren't bowled much, Colly persisting with seam the majority of time but I'd guess those two lads will have plenty of say in the remaining days as to whether we can push on for a win.
If today continues the same path as the first two it'll be a high scoring draw but as I say, we are at the moment the happier.
We shouldn't lose it from here and if we can pick up a couple of quick wickets this morning we maybe able to put them under pressure. For us to win I'd imagine we need to be batting after Tea, long way from that yet like.

marty is a great commentator and now he is barely on. last year was fantastic for cricket commentary, listening to marty everywhere, always having balance in the box, now we are missing out on a good commentator, listening to two northants bum lickers.
can't understand how you like her, she is f***ing dreadful.

Its the second game she has commentated on to best of my knowledgw (source twitter). She is knowledgable about county game unlike many other national journos , she is well researched generally unlike some of the clowns i've lustened to on the county commentery. She is learning a difficult trade, cricket commentery, and its one which lends itself more to a female voice than other sports. Give her a break, it's 2014

it is 2014 aye. we've gone beyond equality now and it is all about shoehorning people into positions not based on talent/abilites but based on filling quotas.
glad you are happy to listen to her guff whilst she possibly learns her trade, commentary however is mainly natural, either you are good or you're not, you can improve obviously however and let's hope she does as we are going to have it rammed down our throats like it or not.
i really really enjoyed last season, thought the coverage was excellent. funny how from the brink of not being able to afford to have any commentary now they are supporting three seperate commentators.
i was contemplating emailing a complaint to the bbc but i'd probably end up in court accused of sexism, tarred and feathered.
Greavsie, I'm not so sure it is that difficult a trade. It's just a case of saying what you see, which can include the surroundings (pigeons, cranes, etc!). There are much more difficult things to commentate on if imagine, sports which are much faster paced. I've never fancied Horse Racing for example.
