Seen this on loads of websites.

If true its fantastic news, surprised by the lack of celebration on the thread. Granted it will only be for a few games, but you couldn't really pick a better world batsman in form

Fantastic news if true, but we've already had the "Vernon Philander" phantom signing.

It is great news but as Harry alludes to, after the Philander episode I think a few lads are maybe a bit wary of this being another rumour. Until sightings of him in Durham whites are confirmed I'll keep my feet on the ground :lol:

Yes but that is a different sport and the premier league football clubs don't get the vast majority of their annual budget from the FA like most counties do from the ECB which is raised by the England side.
One thing for sure Kumar will be motivated to score plenty of runs for Durham as this is probably his last tour here and i would guess the only country where his test record is not that good, money certainly won't be the motivation after 5 or 6 seasons in the IPL. Late April at the Riverside might test that though.

Really annoying about Stokes incident, looks like he would of played a lot for Durham after all

minor point but i wouldn't move scotty for the sake of 4 or 5 games from sangakarra, he can come in at 4.
 
The Philander rumour was different - there were no official sources.

The Sanga story has been tweeted by respected cricket journos.
 
Great signing and will bolster our side whilst we see whats happening with Stokes. Adds a bit of experience albeit only for 3 or so games.
