When you bang on about the strongest team you ARE including Borini, or are you suggesting he isn't in that 11? The manager HAS to plan for what ifs, he would be remiss not to. Reckless abandon isn't viable, he needs the opportunity to get Fletcher and Scocco match fit and this was one of them. It was perfectly executed until Cattermole decided to implode.[DOUBLEPOST=1394530897][/DOUBLEPOST]

..and if Borini does get injured or Fletcher? They may be whatifs but that is what you plan for. Hope is for dreamers, not managers.

It was not perfectly executed, we were shit prior to the goals. We should not play a weakened team in the 1/4 final of a cup.
Perhaps then we should not play Borini next weekend and Palace and physical?
Play your best team every time. I would much rtaher face the consequences of a
So what you're saying is that you HOPE that Borini stays fit and keeps scoring. Hope? Hope? Hope...? because we clearly can't rely on Altidore and we only have Fletcher and Scocco to fill that role with some of the toughest fixtures possible still ahead. We may have be shit but it was 0-0 with our top scorers coming on until Mr. (I'm in the strongest starting 11 ) Cattermole fucked it up.[DOUBLEPOST=1394529808][/DOUBLEPOST]

Your scenario relys on us not playing Fletcher and Scocco who we need to give as much game time too as possible. You're living in a fantasy land if you think we/Poyet can afford to leave their inclusion any later.

Play your best team every time. I would much rather face the consequences of a win then the fallout from a defeat.

It wasn't perfectly executed, had we even had a shot?

Not sure how picking someone to play a game of football a week is classed as reckless abandon.

Perfectly executed in the fact it was 0-0, Scocco and Fletcher had 60-65 mins under their belt and we had Borini and Johnson on as impact subs.

Reckless abandon is not including Scocco and Fletcher. Going into Norwich, Palace with them still not having anything under their belt, (which they likely won't unless we are hammering them) and hoping Johnson and Borini stay fit for the rest of the season in what are some of the hardest games in Arsenal, Man City etc. If they don't we currently have Altidore to rely on - or not as the case may be.

Can you absolutely assure me that we will stay up now? if so, I will concede immediately.

Can you absolutely assure me Borini will stay fit and keep scoring, same with Johnson and heaven forbid should we need him Altidore will start scoring? Because then I will admit you don't have tunnel vision.

And the Final?

Say we need a point at home to Swansea, and we have Arsenal in the final. It has been proven time and time again that a forthcoming cup final proves a huge distraction in the league. Which game to you prioritise?

I have already provided u with a perfectly reasonable way Poyet could have managed the whole situation a whole lot better. Considering the underuse of some of our best players its obvious. And if the team couldnt be up for getting a point at home to swansea to stay up they should give up football.
Accept it-Poyets just made the Palace game twice as difficult by giving up on the Cup run.

Why you banging on about Borini for?
Are we absolutely gonna stay up cos we went out of the FA cup? Yes or no.

That could happen. It could also happen that we have to wait another 22 years or more to get back to Wembley so we shouldn't have used that chance to get players match fit. Play high tempo games behind closed doors, do something, just don't spoil our chance of not getting to a Wembley FA cup semi final. I pray to god we win against Palace next week, and there will be others on hear banging the drum that, that was why he made some of them selections. I honestly don't see how we couldn't go for both with 6 days separating each game. I'm not jumping on Pyet as i love the fella and think he will be a success here. I just think he buggered up at the weekend/Was let down by people most didn't want near the bloody first team for a game so big

So play fletcher as I have already said. What about ki? Why not play him?

I already answered that when I said "When you bang on about the strongest team you ARE including Borini, or are you suggesting he isn't in that 11? "

Given that he is our scoring striker (CF) at the moment and our other options are Altidore, Fletcher and Scocco. Can you guarantee Borini, and or Johnson will stay fit so we won't have to use the other three options?

These ARE the things a manager has to plan and account for, not the narrow, limited tunnel vision your are espousing.

If Borini scores the winning goal(s) on Saturday, Keswick is justifed.
Keswick may also consider changing his avatar as he seems happy to be not going back to wembley

The midfield was doing enough, it was the addition of Borini and Johnson that would have made the difference. Cattermole, Larsson, Colback, Johnson and Borini have played a lot together and would have combined better than the two still searching for fitness.

We just couldn't plan for two of our best players to let us down in such quick succession.

Do you believe that players who play together often perform better? Consistency?

If Cattermole didn't implode after O'shea messed up, would you still be saying this if we had drawn 0-0 or Borini/Johnson had got the winner? Of course not, yet a lot of people seem to think they can accuse Poyet of not giving a shit and throwing it away. We had the game relatively under control, not one manager could anticipate, nor rectify the fuck up that was Cattermole.

Well then yes, I do think Borini is one of our best and he should have played at Hull. If he gets injured, he gets injured.[DOUBLEPOST=1394532947][/DOUBLEPOST]

We lost 3-0 and missed playing a 3rd division team in the semi final at Wembley.

We may defend alight at times, but for a few seasons (post Bent) we have scored fuck all. Given relegation is so vital to avoid we need more than one person (Borini) to be available in that role. How many games do we wait to include Fletcher and Scocco to give us that depth, since (MATCH FIT) players who play together preform better?

So does Borini not want to play every match? Not sure why you have the horn for him mind. He is good but not Messi.
Loads of others seem gutted about the cup, but if you can assure us that we are now stopping up, I am happy.

Brilliant, then we can go into games against our relegation rivals and the top four-six teams in the final stretch with the proven goalscorer Altidore and the match-fit Scocco and Fletcher(!)

Oh wait.. he did play Borini when it was 0-0 with 25+ mins to go

We did miss out on a semi, potentially against Arsenal. That's the unfortunate thing, but there is a bigger picture to account and plan for.

Shit, I forgot we have Messi alongside the excellent Altidore, Fletcher and Scocco to fallback on should Borini be unavailable.

If you can assure me that our ONLY current CF goalscorer will continue to score and stay fit?

How do you know Borini was going to get injured at Hull then? Perhaps he may have scored twice in the first half then got substituted.
How do you know Altidore won't score against Palace?

Edit: Just noticed you potentially Arsenal bit. We didn't get Arsenal. f***ing hell, do you deal with anything here and now?
