Unlucky lads, took a couple of amazing goals to win and you were in it right til the end. Really good performance.

Like someone said, we were beaten by the chequebook. Man City look uninterested all match, just a couple of guys stepped up for long enough to grab the goals and then it was all very anonymous. Our guys held their heads high all match and played their socks off, and the fans clearly put Man City back in their box for the first half.

You have to be proud of that performance lads. 2 pieces of world class beat you . That's what tens of millions on individual players give you.

I'm proud of the lads. City scored a couple of beauties and they were simply too strong today.

We fought hard.

City just too good. They needed exceptional goals to overturn us, but we were against a team who can score exceptional goals our of nothing.

We fought hard. However this cheque book shit is boring. I'd rather get beat by Man Coty than Chelsea or Man Utd. Fans like ourselves

Well played lads and unmatchable support. Disappointed but very proud. Can still enjoy the first half memories. A legendary SAFC goal no mater what happened later. We build on this.

Every sport has the rich clubs.

It makes it that little bit extra special when the likes of Wigan beat them in a final. Or when a Sunderland take a game to them
