This my finished piece.Looks impressive.Onions and Anderson there to buy time until an Overton,Mills,Jordan,etc are ready to emerge to be long term replacements.

If Root can bowl as well as a Vaughan or Pietersen then that will do.Finn will come again he has too much talent,

Was at Lords this morning as the youngest wanted to have a look at the new Lords cricket shop for a new bat and we bumped in to both Finn and Compton having a net and this was 10:00 this morning Finn looked very fit!!!

To be fair he hasn't done anything but conditioning work for about 18 months! I'd love to see him come back this summer and just bowl as quickly as he can. Hopefully he's one of the players Collingwood was referring to in that article when he said England used to select maverick players who could win you games and not worry about the rest of it.

The lad in the store said Compton lives very close to the ground and he spends loads of time netting there..

His grandad was a proper Middlesex legend probably lives in his house??
