Thanks for the advice, I don't know much about the play off events as I was only 7 at the time :/ There will always be the some who are intent on causing trouble, and if anything like that happened again I would be ashamed to support palace
You sound like a sensible lad so you will be fine in any of town centre pubs. By the way a lovely local greeting when you arrive in Newcastle is "good day you thick Maggie scumbag, is that your aftershave or do you all smell of shit"

This should be a cracking game. Poyet, although I hate to say it, has done a brilliant job up there, and you guys should be safe with your fixture run-in. Good luck next week- hope you beat City.
I forget that you've got history with Poyet. Do you think your lot will be more up for it for that reason? We definitely owe you a good drubbing, I know that.

I doubt it will be a high scoring game, Pulis will probably go for a bore draw or try and nick a goal, and so we will be set up to defend and counter attack.

My thoughts exactly. My heart wants a good win, but I sense a bore draw on the cards.

Knowing Palace we'll probably do very well first half, but put away none of our chances. Then after the HT we'll concede a sloppy goal and be left chasing the game.

I'll never forget that game. I was horrified seeing our disabled supporters being beaten up and the sight of that man being pulled from his wheelchair will live with me forever.
I was in the NSU, don't recall any of this. The bastards.

As has been said mate, you'll get no bother in town whatsoever, unless you look for it, which I'm sure you won't be.
There's a couple of good curry houses on North Bridge street - a couple of minutes from the ground.

Hope you enjoy your trip but not too much.

As for the play-off game - it was just young 'uns who were chased off the pitch by our lads and were given a slap outside. One 'hard-man' (fully togged-up in S.I. Etc) was literally crying as his mate was getting a shoeing from one of our shirters whom he and his mates went for (the rest legged it).
