Cattermol to Stoke....

Would be disappointed to see him go as I rate him and think it's important to keep your influential players in a relegation battle, but 5 million is a very good price for him.
My thoughts exactly.

no one will offer decent fees for larsson or gardner, if the 5 mil is true then take it and move on. sing ki permanent then loan someone in or sign bridcutt and keep the rest of the cash for a forward. saying that should it be bollocks i wont grumble at cattermole staying, he is useful and he gives us that heart you need in certain games

Cannot for the life of me understand this thread. At this moment in time we have a midfield of Cattermole, Ki, Larsson, Gardner and Colback and people are genuinely saying we should sell Cattermole. Three of those are out of contract at the end of the season and Ki's loan will expire. If Bridcutt doesnt come off we will have zero midfielders come the end of May.

I think the club would be happy with that tbh probably except Colback.

He's part of the problem not the solution, but we are very poor in mf.

All these people whining about us selling him and leaving us short, do you really think Poyet would sell without replacements lined up? He frightens the life out of me in possession and Gus no doubt.

Sunderland rejects F.C.

in their time they've had:

Lawrence
Whitehead
Delap
Sorensen
Jones
Higginbotham (when they bought him back)

and now Cattermole  he won't be missed here, easily replaceable.

we cannot be strengthening teams around us, Cattermole still does a job occasionally and we have no need to sell with him under contract til 2016.
