Not as much as England.[DOUBLEPOST=1388859448][/DOUBLEPOST]You a big Durham fan?
Wood is Fast Medium.Overton is Fast. Not as much as England.
For most of last season, if not all, Wood had the quickest delivery recorded by sky, think it was 93mph. That's not medium.
Doesn't matter how fast it is its how accurate it is as well. For most of last season, if not all, Wood had the quickest delivery recorded by sky, think it was 93mph. That's not medium.
It's all that matters when you're talking about speedFlintoff was a front-line main strike bowler.Kallis was a change bowler.[DOUBLEPOST=1388860746][/DOUBLEPOST]

Overton or Wood, then. It's all that matters when you're talking about speed![]()

Are you asking who I think's better? I've no idea, never seen Overton. I just wouldn't describe someone who can bowl 90mph+ as medium fastOverton or Wood, then.
Maybe the Saffers FRONT-LINE bowling attack softened them up first.indeed. considering this, you would expect flintoff to have a better bowling record than kallis, wouldn't you? how odd.

I think Trott, Carberry, Bresnen, Panesar and Tremlett are done in international cricket now. Anderson needs a good summer to convince he hasn't shot it. Selector(s) need(s) to decide on a top 7 and stick to it. If Root is an opener then open with him and stop shunting him up and down the order, I don't hold with this nonsense about Bell having to bat at 3 - he has an outstanding record at 5, how about we leave him there for the guarantee 80-100 runs per test and fill the gaps with other players. It could be argued that a move to 3 would benefit Cook and give him time off the field after the opposition has batted.
On reflection I think I'd be tempted to go with:
Root, Robson, Cook, Pietersen, Bell, Ballance, Prior, Stokes, Broad, Finm, Rankin
Use Root as the spinner unless it's a Bunsen, in which case Tredwell or Borthwick come in for Ballance or Pietersen
I agree with your logic but I think Prior, Finn and Rankin really need to have a good start to the summer, they've all got a lot to prove. Prior's in a similar position to Anderson in my eyes. Finn's been poor for years and I've not seen a lot of Rankin but I'm not sure he'll improve enough at 29 to be worth persevering with.I think Trott, Carberry, Bresnen, Panesar and Tremlett are done in international cricket now. Rankin is finished at this level as well a la Tremlett.[DOUBLEPOST=1388862642][/DOUBLEPOST]Boycs think Finn should give the one day part of the tour a miss and join the Lions tour to Sri Lanka.I think Trott, Carberry, Bresnen, Panesar and Tremlett are done in international cricket now.
