Goes back further than that mate. When I was a barman one of the old locals spent most of the evening arguing with the lone mackem bloke. The two of them were into their late 60s and all they did is argue about who was better and bigger and scummier and richer and so on and so forth.

Not at all. I just believe some on this thread are painting us as angels and it's not the case. I would say both Sunderland and Newcastle are as bad each other, which is why it's frustrating that we are the ones being punished.

The Mags kick off was obviously far worse than anything we have done, but this has been in the pipeline for a while now.

Pitch invasions, the lad pushing Harper a few year back, SWC bother at the 1-1 Gyan game imo was mainly instigated by us, the 3-0 our lads were breaking out of the Police escort to get at Mags, that nutter jumping into the Mags box this season, bother on the metro going go the SJP game in 2012...

I wouldn't say they were small fry, but yes as I have already said, The Mags kicking off at the 0-3 was far worse. I agree.

I'm not aligning anything, i'm merely pointing out that Sunderland fans are not brilliant either. Not just at derbies, i've seen our fans act like morons and cause bother at other grounds.

Football fans get a bit carried away sometimes. If Newcastle have similar treatment next time they visit the SOL (Whenever that may be) then we have no arguments, I have a feeling they won't though
