Ashes 5th test - Sydney

Can anyone remember a more shambolic England tour than this one?

The Mike Denness tour of 74/75 was pretty farcical as I remember. That went to 5-0, but luckily, we won the 6th Test when Australia couldn't be arsed any more. But I guess you could argue that Thomson and Lillie were slightly quicker than Johnson and Harris.

this is what i don't understand this series - when the ball is rearing up at your head why are you waving the bat handle at it? drop your gloves and duck out of the way...

Taking what rentaghost (I think) has said a few times; if this bowling was in a ODI, Johnson would be called for a chest high no-ball several times an over. Is it an umpires decision to call it in Tests? Not that it's an excuse mind, because most of it's cowardice e.g. walking towards square leg.

I'm still laughing at that Cook delivery. Who the fuck leaves one that is hitting middle of middle? Sums this series up.:lol:

It's also been said about me mind.

 Just in case there was any confusion. It's late, we're all on edge....

I think a combination of two months of sleep deprivation, the utter shambles that is this team, and the strength of the coffee out of my new pod machine has broken me. I've got the shakes.

one of the massive differences this series has been the aussies ease of judgement when it comes to leaving on length., if its going over the stumps and they dont like the look of it they leave it. when its us we just dangle our bat in the way
