Kallis was a batsmen who could bowl a bit.Flintoff was a bowler who could bat a bit. However Flintoffs batting was better than Kallis bowling.Flintoff was a more" all round "all rounder than Kallis.

:lol::lol::lol:
Kallis' bowling figures are as good as Flintoff's, if not better! Kallis is one of the top batsman in the world, ever and would have got into just about any side in the world on his bowling alone. Flintoff was a good bowler who swung his bat with less responsibility than KP. There just isn't any comparison between the two.

My word you are on a proper wind up aren't you?

Why don't you leave that sort of stuff to the pure football forum and leave cricket talk to the grown ups?

Think Ive touched a nerve.Just because someone doesn't agree with your opinion there is no need to put them down. You should know that been a well travelled individual as you say.In the poll other posters also agree with my opinion so I am not a lone voice.

Aye, the support is overwhelming, brings a tear to my eye to see it :)

Anybody else going to own up to voting for Flintoff?

Its like saying which is the better film, Shawshank redemption or weekend at bernies. Now don't get me wrong I liked weekend at bernies, but to compare it with one of the best films ever made is ludicrous. I'm not even gonna comment on the poll. People were obviously having a laugh.

Would you say Flintoff is better than Jimmy Anderson and Alastair Cook put together? Cos that's what it amounts to.

At their peak I would rather have Flintoffs much more match winning abilities in my side out of the two.[DOUBLEPOST=1388689520][/DOUBLEPOST]Peopl

People could have been having a laugh voting for Kallis for that matter.Your views on Flintoff are completely distorted.I think you've had a knock on the head with a cricket ball sitting in the stand.Ill reiterate Im talking about Flintoff not Derek Pringle.Maybe you are getting the two mixed up.[DOUBLEPOST=1388689639][/DOUBLEPOST]

I would say Kallis was the better batsman but Flintoff was the better bowler.

Mate seriously. I could sit down and have a reasoned debate about averages and strike rates and what not. However I just cant be arsed as Flintoff is not fit to lace Kallis's boots. Its that simple. I cant believe you're making me say bad things about a England player who I liked.

I am gonna try and restrain from biting anymore to your blatant fishing bites.

Flintoff not fit to lace Kallis boots??????. Kallis didn't have the injuries what Flintoff had but at their peak as I said Kallis was the better batsman while Flintoff was the better bowler. When putting it all together at their respective peaks Id rather have Flintoff.(IMO)

Kallis Test bowling stats. 292 wickets @32.65 with a strike rate of 69.2 and economy of 2.82 with 5 five fors.
Flintoff Test bowling stats. 226 wickets @ 32.78 with strike rate of 66.1 and economy of 2.97 with 3 five fors.

How was Flintoff's bowling any better than Kallis? I'm not even counting the ODI stats into the equation, which would make the gap even further.

Deluded doesn't even come close to describing you. One has more runs, centuries, wickets and catch's than the other, and your still flogging a dead horse.

Not close this.
Flintoff may have been a better bowler than Kallis for a while in the mid 2000s. But not for the time prior to that.
Kallis is in an altogether different league as a batsman though, way ,way ahead.
What England would for either of them now though? The balance that a fifth pace bowler option gives is gold dust for a cricket team. Let's hope Stokes can make a bit of a mark in that direction, and I'd bet on him doing so. If England don't flog him into the ground or try and change his run up and action that is.

after repeated no balling, especially on a wicket taking delivery and then also knocking the bails off a few times this is what i'm most worried about[DOUBLEPOST=1388696760][/DOUBLEPOST]
