Imran Khan, Kapil Dev, Richard Hadlee and Sean Pollock would all come ahead of Flintoff. Top of the list would be Keith Miller, not just a great batsman and fast bowler but flew fighter bombers in ww2.

Great shout, didn't honestly realise how good his stats were. Notably his batting. Always knew his bowling was class but think he had summit like a 33 batting average in Tests. Very handy that.

Could be a case for Tony Greig being above Flintoff. His batting and bowling averages were superior, albeit not a strike bowler.[DOUBLEPOST=1388604871][/DOUBLEPOST]

You're right of course, but even saying he had 4-5 good years in generous
 
Flintoff's batting average is lower than his bowling. By old school definitions, he isn't even a proper all-rounder.

well, he certainly isn't a proven international all rounder yet is he!

i wouldn't say there is any surprises on that list, except maybe daniel vettori, always rated him pretty highly but his averages are pretty poor now with both bat and ball.[DOUBLEPOST=1388661359][/DOUBLEPOST]
