It's still racist. There is no difference. It's more to do with the deragatory racial slur. Same as wop for an Italian.

What part is the offensive bit the mixing up of nationalities? (English/Scotsman) the abbreviation of nationality? (Chinese/aussie)? Or the c@nt part? Still struggling to understand the racial aspect to this debate?

I agree no difference at all however do you think you would have raised the same concerns had the slur been aimed at White Australian Tim Cahill? I highly doubt it.
 
Passed down through generations, think it still happens more up north due to what seems to be less ethnicity than when you travel south.

Not sure why Tim Cahill's name is constantly cropping up, but I do feel the need to point out that Cahill is not Caucasian, he is ethnically Samoan.
