We need radical changes. Fuck prior, kp, swann, jimmy off and bring in new lads.

Get rid of Flower, Peterson, Swann and get the young uns in.

Get a proper coach who doesn't look as if he doesn't want to be there.

warne has just mentioned on the Oz commentary that we have been in the field every day of this series bar the last day in adelaide when it rained...?

Our batsmen should be ashamed of their performances all through these tests. What a f***ing shambles, the Aussie bowlers must be pissing themselves.

f***ing shambolic performance the whole series so far. Utter joke the batting has been. Flower needs peddling as soon as this awful series is over.

He needs to take some of his "automatic" choices with him too.

BBC Sport's Jon Barbuti: Australia have the top six batting averages and four best bowling averages in the current Ashes series. Dominant.[DOUBLEPOST=1387102837][/DOUBLEPOST]HOW'S STAT?
Opta Jim: Australians have hit the last eight Ashes centuries - 14 of the preceding 17 were hit by English batsmen. Shift.

To be fair, Foster was never really given a true chance. He's only played 7 times and his last Test was in 2002 when he was 22. He has come on leaps and bounds since then. He has been the best all round wicketkeeper in the County game for at least the last 8 years.
Yes, but he is a one day batsman and never a test 7[DOUBLEPOST=1387103046][/DOUBLEPOST]

Anderson? He has been excellent for the last 3-4 years, including places where it doesn't swing. Let's not forget that in our knee jerking

Sounds like a cracking atmosphere mate. At least one group of Englishmen are doing us proud this series.

It's been poor most of this game cos the ground has been too full but last session was superb. Bresnan and Bairstow clapping along to it and Prior always gets into it.

From the naked eye it looks like the pitch is breaking up but still haven't given up hope we can bat 5 sessions!

Flower and the coaches want hanging from the yard arm for this shite. Only so much you can shuffle the current players, they haven't become poor players overnight, their confidence is shot to shit and this comes back to the coaching. tactics have been awful/nonexistent too.

Not a lot of discussion about tonight's action I see. Anyone still clinging to a final thread of hope? Yesterday was the day, as happens in every Ashes series for the losing team, when any last shred of hope died, England skittled cheaply and our best bowler injured turned probable defeat to certain defeat in this test IMHO.

Whether we bowl them out or they declare, I reckon we'll be batting by mid afternoon, be several wickets down by the close and the Ashes lost by lunch time tomorrow. Sad to say, but it'll be nothing less than we deserve for the shambolic way we've approached this series.

The sad truth. One positive is the dead rubbers at Sydney and Melbourne can be used to try a few new players with one eye to the future.[DOUBLEPOST=1387148799][/DOUBLEPOST]
Can someone please explain to me why Bresnan is playing ??

Here you go:

“We try to make sure we get selection right. Like everything, we make mistakes, like cricketers make mistakes. It probably is an ideal place for the taller bowlers to bowl, but we thought the best balance of the team is with Tim Bresnan in it. If we then bring another tall bowler in to have another quick, we would probably leave ourselves short somewhere else.”

Translation: brought in for his batting.

Dead rubbers I think not, do we want to lose 4/5 nowt and be completely embarrassed. Also try out who exactly? Aside from ballance we know what we will be getting and none of the backups are good enough.
