I would like to basically compile evidence of all the giveaways in case I want to raise it with the club in the future at a liaison group meeting.

My mates lass works for the uni. She gets him 2 tickets for every game. He's never paid for a ticket except for the derby in 3 years.

I hope people realise that most clubs do this, give cheap tickets to various 'types' that is. Even Man Utd do it.

Sorry to the OP for not reading the entire thread and I apologise if it has already been mentioned previously but the club gave 2 free tickets to every student who attended graduation ceremonies on Friday. These were for the Tottenham game and were mainly for the west stand. There were more graduation ceremonies earlier in the week so I presume they would have also benefited from this offer.

At the end of the day its the clubs prerogative what they do with the 10,000 or so empty seats.

Its also season ticket holders prerogative whether to renew year after year.

If I was within the club Id be encouraging them to give season ticket holders fewer reasons to cancel, rather than make more.

I cannot see why a ST holder should be viewed as greedy or selfish for begrudging someone something you`ve paid good cash for. Not identical I know but you`d be a bit miffed if you paid £27 for a paid of jeans and two fellas behind you got handed a pair for nowt.

At the end of the day we`ve been utter shit for the best part of what 50,60 years, most fans are at an extremely low ebb as we know how this seasons going to end. This `hardcore` of the clubs support should not be taken for granted as whoevers receiving these freebies certainly wont fancy a piss poor championship game next season (many even decline Premiership ones this - its often you cant get shot of a ticket).

If the club have the spare cash to give away thousands of tickets can I suggest they do a simple buy back scheme where us loyal fans receive say £15 for a game you cant attend rather than dealing with stubhub who are basically touts?

Shorts never owned a Championship club, hes in for a rude awakening next season and imo, these giveaways will only add to it come next season.

Yes, theres ST holders who think its fine, but Id imagine 50% minimum don't, me included, and I dare say Dirty Bristow. ;)
 
I just wish they would reward season ticket holders every now and again.

I don't give a shit about the free tickets, but it would be nice if we got the Carlisle game for free for example.
