The have some good players and it seems Pardew has finally figured out how to play them... hopefully in January they sell sell sell and drop like a stone but i think they will finish mid-table personally

Or back from the match? Nah, too simplistic.

Give ower with this lucky mongathon as well ffs. Coming from the team who got an assist from a beach ball.

Mate, we've been paid back for that with interest everytime we've played Liverpool since. Allowing them to take our free kick for us should have been payment enough imo.

They are a top 10 side because they have a decent first X1.
Their squad isnt up to much though. A Euro campaign found them out (bit like its doing to Swansea now - and like it will do to Southampton if they sneak into Europe)

Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea have the squad to challenge on all fronts.
No one else does and I can see the day when teams either dont enter the Uefa equivalent or just play kids and reserves.

Looks like the, at the time derided signings last January are coming to fruition now.
Will it last? Who knows?
Pardew bad manager? Doesn't seem to be doing to badly at the moment?

They're a good side who play to their strengths. Not much depth, but they haven't had too many injuries at the same time yet.

If Pardew didn't shut up shop as soon as they go a goal up they'd look more convincing.

Totally agree. They currently have a better first XI than us - simple as that. In all honesty, the league table suggests that's been true for most of the time since Keegan took them up. It's a shitty fact, but a fact all the same and it makes it even better when we beat the buggers.

They have a decent side, I was surprised by just how bad they looked against us. Finishing fifth was a bit of an aberration, but so was being down in the shit next to Martin O'Neill and Paolo di Canio's Sunderland last year.

Lots of poor sides in the league that make me feel better about our current position, but they aren't quite one of them.

Chances are they keep the manager and the owner so im happy really they all deserve each other .....the thing about being a Sunderland fan is Patience is our virtue....nil desperandum n that

Like the Mags did last season many a time but Pardew still used the fucker as an excuse for poor form[DOUBLEPOST=1385968567][/DOUBLEPOST]
Amuses me how confidently people can predict that they won't finish high up after they a) already did it the last time they weren't in Europe and b) have a better team than they did then.
Why do people keep on using Europe for their poor form last season? Its a very poor excuse cant remember it effecting Everton's form when they were in it with a smaller squad than what the Mags had
