People getting upset cos warner gave him stick

England are the biggest culprits in the world for giving teams stick, they will again when theyre winning

Sounds like Depression to me, similar to Trescothick. Stress is usually short from for Depression in these instances. In which case, nothing else matters. That’s almost literally what depression is-life is barren and joyless and grey no matter where you are or what you do when its at its worst. It's an emotional and philosophical cancer. Wish him the very best.

I’m not sure the Aussies will have a go at this either. They’re pretty forward thinking on the mental health front, especially amongst males, it’s a big thing there. And I don’t recall them ever having a go in this instance. They’re vicious in the moment but I don’t think they would go after something like this, most of them are decent human beings when not playing sport.

This. Took a mental health first aid course a few months ago (to do with my work teaching undergraduates) that was entirely set up by Australians.

Well they haven't got an idiot like Flintoff as captain, Cook is a hell of a guy.

What I will say is Root, Bell and KP need to all step up and show their class, KP needs to take on the responsibility, there is no good getting out cheaply and saying that's just the way he plays. Get in, stay in and play.
This - he has ability in bucket loads, but invariably plays for Kevin Pietersen rather than the team. Time to grow up and show some maturity, be a real legend.

The fact he's been selected for the team 100 times indicates he must be doing something right. You need that sort of player too.

I agree normally, and have always backed the way he plays.

Trott has been playing for years with this illness, and although of course he plays for himself, there have been times where he has played an innings that his teammates needed, he has been a rock in the team. I just tho know KP needs to reel it in and play for his mates and the team. Some of the will struggle with the pace and bounce but even KP didn't in this test, he just got out to two cheap shots, certainly in the next test just needs to bat a long period of time.

Maybe I'm just being petty, but all of the experienced lads on twitter wished their best to Trott, KP tweeted at the same time about how much of a grew week he had in Brisbane. Might be reading too much into that but it doesn't surprise me.

Already had respect for Trott but the fact he's had this for his whole career just makes his record more remarkable. Must be one hell of a strong bloke.[DOUBLEPOST=1385451061][/DOUBLEPOST]

Ps, my spellings awful there but I'm on my iphone on the tube, apologies!

Under Strauss he was picked to play how the hell he wanted as they knew they had cover throughout to let him play that way. Game by game, series by series your tactical approach necessarily has to evolve to the dynamics of the situation you fns yourself in.. This is a time & place where we need Pietersen to be Pietersen the England team player, rather than Pietersen the big headed (or headless?) eejit

He has pkayed for the team several times, particularly when we needed to get a move on with the score to get a declaration in.

And although it was frustrating, if he put the ball he got ot to seconds innings to the ropes for 4 people would have been saying well done (I had no real problem with the selection of shot, it was the executuon that was poor - it was a bread and butter delivery)

Several times out of 100. Sounds about right. Several is a handful, right?

You wouldn't think that if you read the Fox Sports fyassburk page
