To anderson.

Sort of crack is that from Clarke?

(Sky reporter said he said broken arm but it was face, not that it makes any difference)

Edit: sorry Clarke said he said hand.

Still a dick

Just watched the highlights and the press conferences and just makes me realise all the more that the Aussies are arrogant ***** and how much I despise the twats.

Clarke is a utter twat and I hope we can find some form and shove their smug f***ing faces up their arseholes.

We've beaten them three times and by god I hope it becomes four.

Fully agreed.

However we don't need to be getting sucked in by it all.

Threats to break your hand and break your arm were the threats made apparently but according to Clarke that's normal banter and worse has been said to him in the past. I believe him and the England lads should use it as motivation. Warners comments on Trott however fringe ICC rules and should be reported by match referee Martin Crowe. However if you put the likes of Warner in front of a microphone what can you expect?

Probably a hell of a lot but it's not in the public domain so it's not an issue. It's the public criticism that he made in the aftermatch interview on Saturday night that contravenes ICC guidelines.
Just seen Cook interviewed he really doesn't look happy about the whole thing.

Sledging's just part of the game and has been for many years.

Shane Warne used to get very personal when he played. Some players thrive on it but others just ignore it.

There are four tests to go - let's see if Clarke still has something to chirp about later in the series.

This clearly has to be Lehmann's influence. Gamesmanship is one thing but predicting or wishing physical harm on an opponent on the cricket field steps over a boundary (pardon the pun) IMHO. I suppose if you want to win and all costs and bring yourself to a level lower than a rattlesnake then its the way to go. However if you have some shred of decency youd really take stock of where the Aussies are going with this.

Ironic that they complained about Bodyline all those years ago and now feel free to pepper all and sundry with short balls and verbally predict and wish physical harm on opponents. At the end of the day Clarke in particular has to think whether he will look back in years to come on this sort of antic with any sort of embarrassment or pride.[DOUBLEPOST=1385319247][/DOUBLEPOST]
Disgraceful that mind. Out of order.[DOUBLEPOST=1385319354][/DOUBLEPOST]

This is not sledging, its more than that. This is a deliberate attempt to win a game of cricket (I'll repeat a game of cricket) by trying inflict and wishing to inflict physical harm on your opponent. TBF to Clarke it seems as though its Lehmann who has brought this type of thing into the Aussie game. His recent outbursts, about Broad in particular, show what sort of an odious character he is.

At the end of the day crack like that to a tailender is f***ing embarrassing. It would be in local cricket FFS.

Hope we f***ing trounce the convict twats 4-1.

Didn't Lehman get accused of racism whilst playing?

Shame Clarke wasn't man enough to do it himself.

He is so busy spitting in his hands, blowing on his hands, rubbing them together, then putting his collar straight

It's up to Englang to shove it in there face in the 2nd test, if I was a fast bowler for England I have a hard on waiting to bowl against Clarke now.

Something and nothing, the only comeback is beat them on the strip.

Or perhaps set the bodyline field when Clarke comes in at Adelaide......

Best course of action to retaliate to these inbred Aussie kernts is to resort to the old Bodyline bowling !!!

Just aim for the fuckas at every opportunity !!!

We should go after the c*nts, give some back to the wankers, that's how to sort them.

And the lad should have got him told that the ball was coming back between the twats eyes

There is a lot of genuine ill feeling between these two sides. At the end of the last series in England Jon Agnew made some very interesting points about there being another Ashes series straight after the last one and his fears that it may spill over and get a bit messy as there has not been time for things to cool down as there was a lot going on during the series. I know Agnew can be a bit of a fanny at times and likes to put on the act of a blustery Englishmen during commentaries but he is also very good at getting the inside stories as well about what is going on in the dressing rooms.
Personally i think the Aussies reckon there is a few poms who can dish it out but can't take it Anderson and Swann in particular and they are going for it. Good test for England now to get back into the series if they are good enough. The problem is there will not be many low slow dry wickets like they prepared during the summer.
