Should we rest Fletcher? since he's still has this dislocated shoulder bothering him + he went the full 90 minute...Maybe pair Altidore and Borini in front..then bring in Fletcher in second half for whoever is tired?

I'd like to also see either mavrias or kalsson get a chance on one of the flank...not both but one.

In the back 3, I hope diakite and roberge get a game and O'shea should take the night off for this one.

Playing our strongest 11 in November is not going to harm our season in any shape or form, especially as we haven't really got a first choice team. For me it's a bonus game to get some sort of momentum, one thing for certain, we need it.
 
Poyet could do a whole lot worse than put a big effort into the league cup imo. The struggle in the league would be a whole lot easier to take if we got a trip to Wembley.

Sad state of affairs the way football has gone, some fans don't even want to win a trophy, the Premier League has totally ruined what it's all about.
Well apart from some Arsenal fans and the media who thought Wenger should go due to this fact.
4th place is not a trophy...? We can only dream of a top 4 finish and watching a team like Arsenal every week.

I know it's only early in the season and things can change so quickly but come on what does the Premier League bring other than shit loads of debt and heartache to a club like ours.

I like Arsene Wenger and Arsenal, he knows what he wants from his team and gets it without someone just bank rolling the club, they are a club ran correctly and in my opinion are the best in the league.

Anyone thinking it's easy to say as they are top of the league, see my posts early in the season when I said sarcastically that it must be shit being an Arsenal fan.
 
The state we are in right now we should be going all out to win every game we play. I'd use this as an opportunity to let the best of the new lot stake a claim. They should be raring to go out there and prove why they need to play in the league. Hopefully a few of them take their chance, we get through, and the likes of Larsson find it hard to get back in the side.
 
Think we Chelutska, Roberg, brown, Ki. Giac all fits better in a passing style game but Gus as he said also needs to fix the bad defense we have at the moment... mixing it up to much will not do that sadly... hope he gives a few of them a try in the cup though...

our second string should be the first. Apart from brown, fletch and Jozy, all the fringed players are better footballers than those getting starts in the firsts.

Agree with most of that, maybe Borini or Mavrias in for Fletch, I just have this feeling he's gonna break again soon !
 
We will win this one. I am already looking forward to a home quarter final against Chelsea. Mourinho v Poyet.
 
I woudln't risk Fletcher or anyone carrying an injury and he has to replace Catts and Dossena so that would give him enough oportunity to try a few of the new lads.
